I was really suffering prior to this recent bilateral SI joint injection. It gets sooo bad and completely unmanageable when I go too long in between interventions. My pain management provider shared fluoroscopy images with me, depicting the gap within my left SI joint.

I had about 80 to 90% relief immediately following the procedure. Of course once the numbing medication wore off I had extreme pain for about two days but survived it. I wore an ice pack at work! I currently have about 50% relief, so I wear a lidocaine patch daily and wear an SI belt to help keep my pelvis from moving much as much.
Pain Medication cocktail continues to be extra strength Tylenol and tramadol. Before bedtime, I continue to take cyclobenzaprine, duloxetine, and Lunesta.
Today I am enjoying the heated pool and will go for a massage afterwards.

My surgery is on October 17th, 2024 and I am counting down the days. I pray this work, and does not cause any additional problems to my surrounding joints. I am nervous, but confident in my spine surgeon, Dr. Braaksma.
