Well….Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas has denied the SPRINT nerve stimulator for my Sacroiliac joint. BUMMER! UTSW tried to convince my insurance, but SPRINT is still experimental and insurance said NOPE! Soooo…I am still waiting for technology and insurance to catch up with my chronic pain. Next, my physical medicine doctor will try and get approval for another radiofrequency ablation. At least it reduced the pain for about 6 months last time. I am still too scared to commit to the SI joint fusion since it would be permanent and could make the situation worse. At least I can be active and play some pickle ball 💜
